2014 Honda City has recorded higher sales than Verna for second month in a row

The new Honda City is the fourth generation model, and was a sought after new car. The 2014 City is not just a progression of the earlier model, but an evolutionary piece. The car is garnished with novel design technologies called Sleek Cross Motion and Exciting H design. The advanced design theme used on the car makes it a strong contender in posh sedan segment. Its most talked about rival is Hyundai Verna also injected with state-of-the art Fluidic design philosophy, now the public will wonder how the new City will fare against Verna, and the new design language has done wonders for Honda. The new City is moving faster than Verna and has churned greater profits.

Honda City 2014 Unveiled

The profit record of Honda Cars India Limited is phenomenal in 2014 Feb; it has crossed milestone paths of 123%. It is incredible indeed, especially at a time when most auto firms in India are on a sale downturn. The overall vehicle sales was 14,543 pieces in 2014 Fen, which is overwhelming compared to last year’s sale of 6510 pieces.

The launch of Amaze in 2013 April is what struck the profit chord; Honda has been on a profit ride since then. Now the new City has come into the picture and about 7213 units of the car are rolled out in Feb, higher than 6030 pieces of Amaze. On the spectacular sales recorded in 2014 February, the Senior Vice President in marketing and sales division of Honda Cars India, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen commented, ‘’we are delighted to see the swift movement of 2014 City, which has stolen blockbuster charts just a month post launch. The delivery procedure for petrol model have started in Feb, with two fast moving models Amaze and City, the sale structure of the company will be robust. The reduction in excise duty will ease the flow of profits.’’

From 2013 April till 2014 Feb, Honda Cars India has made spectacular profits and sold about 1, 15,913 vehicles compared to 3,439 products around the same months last year. The growth curve has expanded to 83%, and the company has exported 252 pieces this month.

At a period when recession has taken a greater toll on the country Honda has adopted smart moves, evident with its month long profits. The launch of Amaze has done the trick, and the attention grabbing features here are the best-in-class mileage of 25.8kmpl, the interior room is abundantly spacious for a sub four meter sedan. The advanced iDTEC and iVTEC engines built with the advanced Earth Dream technology pump out super efficient energy outputs, and this makes the drive experience breathtakingly smooth. Lastly the 400 liter boot capacity makes Amaze an amazing vacation car.

The new City is also packed with similar identities, with 26kmpl mileage, potent iDTEC and iVTEC engines, posh interior equipments and 510 liter boot volume. Now there is an additional contributor to the grand sale structure of Honda, which is new City.

The City has taken over Verna, it will be interesting to observe for how long the trend continues, and Hyundai might come out with another grand sedan launch to fight the City. The competition has just gotten fiercer.
