The latest generation 2014 Honda Jazz has already gone on sale in the international car markets and has received a lot of appreciation both from the consumers as well as the market experts. In the Indian car market, the new Honda Jazz is expected to be positioned between the Brio hatchback and the Amaze compact sedan. This also means that the car will be competitively priced this time around. The Honda Jazz has been discontinued in India due to its low sales owing to its high pricing and the lack of a diesel variant. The new Jazz is going to resurrect the brand and is expected to be highly successful this time.
The new 2014 Honda Jazz will also come along with its diesel counterpart ensuring high success for Honda that has been tasting sky-high success with all its recently launched diesel cars. In the spy picture, the Jazz is seen without any badges that indicate it is a diesel model.
The all new 2014 Honda Jazz is a very contemporary and styling car with impressive design. While the car’s frontal design is sleek and the car adopts an overall swept back sleek design, the rear end is rather tapered to facilitate better cargo space. The new Jazz is also longer and bigger than the previous generation model of the premium hatchback. This results into enhanced passenger space with improved leg and elbow room and also enhanced cargo space.
The 2014 Jazz is also more premium than its predecessor and is great praised for its new plush interior, something which Honda is famous for. The Jazz offers improved comfort and space to all its occupants along with the convenience of a great world-class equipment list.
In India, the 2014 Honda Jazz is expected to be powered by the engine options of a 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol engine that delivers a max power output of 90 PS and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel mill that has the capacity to produce a max power of 100 PS. Both the petrol as well as the diesel engines are expected to be mated to a 5 speed transmission gearbox. Honda is also expected to offer a transmission option of a CVT gearbox with the petrol engine sometime later after the 2014 Jazz’s market launch in India.
