Honda Fit 2015 improved version

Honda has launched the revised version of its popular hatchback Honda Fit which is now smarter with refined bodyline and new more fuel efficient engine. This redesigned version now has streamlined body with deep creases across sides which are vastly removed from previous bug-eye styling cues. Honda Fit is now available in three trim levels among which the LX and EX have manual transmission while EX-L has automatic transmission. The front profile of Honda Fit 2015 is now closer to Civic’s design with tiny flog lights on lower ends of body colored bumper within black outlets. New exterior design of Honda Fit catches onlookers by surprise as for past couple of generations it has continued with bug-eye looks.

Honda has redesigned Fit’s front headlamps to give them a wing like edge around radiator grille and has also connected both sides with chrome trim holding Honda logo. The air dam on lower section of bumper has black grille while fog lights on its either side have chrome outline. Body colored ORVM’s and handles are standard in all trims and while EX and EX-L trims have 15 inch alloy wheels the LX trim has 15 inch steel wheels with plastic covers. The overall size of new Honda Fit has remained same though its length is now shorter by 1.6 inches while its acceleration and handling techniques have improved making maneuverability an easy task.

Designed on the concept of Honda’s Earth Dreams initiative the car petrol variant is fitted with 1.5 liter direct injection technology which enables this four cylinder car to provide output of 130 HP and torque of 114 Nm. While the mileage of latest Honda Fit has not been mentioned it is expected to above 15 kmph due to 6 gears automatic transmission system. To increase fuel efficiency of this model Honda has improved mileage of both EX and EX-L from previous 32 /35 mpg to present 33/36 mpg, this has been possible by reducing a few features from design structure. While the engineers have made Fit 2015’s body more aerodynamic by reducing weight through removal of unnecessary insulation and moonroof.

During road tests of new Honda Fit 2015 though critics appreciated its mileage and acceleration power there were complaints about external noise and wind which could probably have happened as new model has lesser insulation it has similar steering wheel and gear system.  The car’s suspension system is being managed by redesigned torsion beam along with stabilizer bar to create rigidity and reduce the choppy sensation existing in previous models. Honda Fit placed leather inserts on dashboard and door trims though interior door handles are in chrome. The seating system has been renovated to create more elbow room and backseat space due to a redesigned fuel tank which creates 4.8 inches extra for legroom. The audio system has six speakers spread across the car with controls fitted onto a 5 inch display screen which has knobs and buttons to sync radio with USB/iPod and Bluetooth devices.  To keep this car within affordable range Honda has designated price range of $21500 to around $210000 across different variants.
