Honda has an interesting new launch this year, and is a bigger source of excitement than the recently launched fourth gen City. The company announced of its aim to introduce the Mobilio multipurpose vehicle in July this year. If the car is likely to arrive few months from now, then the company is in full swing manufacturing the car. Honda India has commenced production procedures for the car, and images of the model are up online.
Honda Cars India has already started producing the first batch of Mobilio, a seven seat MPV. The exterior images have been uploaded, and the variant in production is V, and is the same top-end Amaze and Brio model. The car on display is pained with lavish red shade, the rear and side profile of the car is revealed. The back portion of the car looks chic with artistically sketched out tail lights. The production version of Mobilio MPV looks radiating from the sides and front.
Mobilio MPV is built on Brio platform, and was displayed in grand style at 2014 Indian Auto Expo held in Greater Noida region. Honda has already introduced the car into Indonesian markets, and the Indian spec car will run on potent i DTEC 1.5 liter diesel engine also fitted into the new City and Amaze. The engine yields enormous power output of 100PS, and moves with class performing mileage of 25kmpl. The car will be sold with manual and automatic gearbox and diesel car will run on manual gearbox.
A new MPV launch by Honda is exciting, and the company will offer an initial pricing of Rs 6.5 lakhs. As stated earlier the base design of Mobilio is adopted from Brio, and Amaze is a sedan variant of Brio. The car resembles Amaze and Brio from the front, as all three cars have the same B pillar structure. There are differences, visible in sportier chin and bigger grille, but from closer angle the car resembles Amaze and Brio to the core.
A new MPV launch is exciting because of the dimension, and there is no better feeling than owning a big posh car. Honda has adopted smart style techniques with Mobilio, from the side the car resembles a van. The car looks stylish contributed by twist in window line and ridges on side, which renders eye popping moments. The back pillar has a floating design, and the wheel arches take on a neat flare design. The cool demeanour of Mobilio from the rear is contributed by huge tail lights, large flared hunches and wrap around back windscreen.
Mobilio looks magnificent from the outside, and the insides too are equally picturesque. The cabin room is abundantly spacious, and the additional room is brought in by 2650mm wheelbase, which is bigger than Amaze by 245mm. There are headrests on front seats; the second and third row compartments have roof fitted air cooling vents. Every compartment of Mobilio is enriched with sufficient room, and there is no room for stuffiness. The middle row has 60:40 split seats, and seven occupants can sit comfortably and enjoy the rhythm of the car to the core.
