Honda Jazz is a huge hit all over the world; the company has brought in another amazing SUV product called Vezel. The build structure of the car is similar to Jazz platform. Vezel has been launched in Japan in 2013 December. For US markets, Vezel will be referred to as HR-V. For those who are wondering what HR-V stand for, it is Hi-rider Revolutionary vehicle.
Honda has shown its trademark license to US Patent and Trademark Office, and also to the vehicle dealerships in the country. HR-V will hit European and North American markets in 2015, and will launch in Australia in 2015. About an Indian launch, Honda has stated that it will not introduce Vezel into the country anytime soon. It is not certain whether Honda will launch the car in India or not, but the company has stated that the launch is not anywhere near. The facts as of today are Vezel may or may not be launched in India, and if a launch is expected, it might not take place anytime during the upcoming months or years.
HR-V is Honda’s earlier creation; the car was produced by the Japanese manufacturer and built on an advanced B segment supermini platform. The car was launched way back in 1999. An interesting fact about HR-V is it is among the first SUV crossovers built. It was a super car, with ample cargo room, significant mileage, and super powerful 1.6 liter VTEC SOHC and 1.6 liter SOHC engine, and the technology used was third continuously varying transmission (CVT) and is an automatic car.
Vezel for American markets will be manufactured at Honda’s established Celaya unit in Mexico. Here Fit components are assembled, and is an obvious reason why it is manufactured in this particular Mexican plant. A new Honda SUV product has to be classy, and the production variant of the car was revealed at the prestigious Tokyo Motor Show. The car draws elements from Jazz and the inscription is pretty evident in the exterior creation of robust lines and creases, and hidden door handle that renders a perfect coupe like appearance. Honda has set a benchmark with the launch of CR-V, and the same design power is visible on Vezel.
Honda’s frontal design structure is magnificently grand, and the front portion of Vezel draws inspiration from the company’s pioneering design creation. By just a glance, the effect is nothing but an awe-inspiring one, and the features that hit the eye are stoplights, artistically carved sharp edged headlights, huge wheels and redecorated wheel arches. The Japan Vezel is inserted with hybrid engine, and a petrol power train is expected as well. The car will arrive in four wheel and two wheel drive systems.
The other attention grabbing features to take note of is the fitment of huge boot, and ‘magic seats’.
Honda Vezel comes in a grand package, and is a representation of a new revolution of lavish car designs. Lucky ones in Japan, America, Europe and Australia can get a taste of the car; sadly an Indian based model is not on Honda’s launch strategy.
