2014 City is the 6th best car in India in April 2014

Honda Cars India has a strong foothold on sales; the company has emerged powerful despite the blurred auto market economy. In April 2014, the company has noted an admirable 30% growth with the flow of 11,040 units. Much of the growth is contributed by new Honda City and to little less extent Amaze. The company has sold an addition of 2,552 vehicles than the corresponding period with the movement of 8,488 units.

Satisfied with the significant outcome of the company, a Honda representative said, ‘’we have started the 2014 to 15 financial year on a good note, and would express our gratitude to customers for the great response of all new Honda City. We have celebrated the first anniversary of Amaze, with the launch of anniversary edition, and we are hopeful of impressive outcomes in the current fiscal.’’ Honda Cars India Limited has made decent profits in export sector with the sale of 402 pieces.

A summary of the sale break up in 2014 April, the sale output of CR-V is 63 pieces, Brio 578 units. Amaze contributed 3,355 units and new City 7,044 units, till now Amaze was the best selling car since its inception in 2013 April. The new City has now taken the throne, and has yielded about four times the fortunes of Amaze.

The City is not only a winner from Honda’s stable, in 2014 April it was voted the 6^th bestselling car in India. The 2014 City is the fourth generation car, and is not just a transformation from the earlier car, but an evolutionary model. An evolution from the past signifies more upmarket appearance contributed by new Exciting H design technology and superior quality inner material. The cabin room is bigger as well, and hence is pathway for greater leg room space.

The insides of the car is also an elevation from the past, the materials are just top class. The inner décor is grand caused by the royal beige and black colour theme. Honda has paid great attention to comfort; customers would feel great moments of joy in a plush and comfortable car. The company has used an interesting catch line for the car that signifies its inventive engineering techniques called Man maximum machine minimum.

The seats are super comfy, the driver’s seat has height adjustment facilities, and there is ample room in rear compartment that can comfortably accommodate five occupants. There are ample storage spots with pockets and console and glove box. What is most interesting is five inch touch screen with music system, ipod, FM or AM, USB and Aux-in facilities.

Honda has introduced a break through feature in Amaze with the fitment of iDTEC diesel mill engineered with advanced Earth Dream technology, the same engine is injected into the new City, a 1.5 litre iDTEC engine that churns 200Nm and 100PS. It is the most fuel efficient in its class and pumps out 26kmpl. The petrol car moves on iVTEC power train that churns 119PS, and yields 17.9kmpl.

There are lot of options to choose from, VX, V, S, SV and E for petrol car, and for diesel car, VX and SV. The car is loaded with adequate safety with electronic brake force distribution, anti-lock brake system, engine immobiliser, and air bags. The new City has all it takes to be a grand package.
