2015 Honda Jazz versus next gen VW polo

Honda is geared to thrill the public with its stunning new launches, like Mobilio MPV and 2015 Jazz. Jazz is Honda’s premium hatch and a new Jazz launch is exciting beyond words. The expected launch date is sometime in 2015, the car is referred to as new Jazz in India and in American and Japanese segments it is called Fit.

As mentioned earlier the new Jazz is a classic hatch model in India, and what make the car attractive are the styling, cabin room and inner décor. Despite having all the attributes a hatch fanatic can dream of the pricing was not convenient at all.

Jazz has been in a luxury hatchback list since its launch in India, and the new car is a continuation of a grand style lineage. The new car has a neatly sketched out roofline that bends in slightly at the back. There are many more cuts and bends in the 2015 Jazz compared to the previous model, which makes it look like a two box car than monobox hatch.

The interior décor of the new Jazz is similar to the previous model, sources have found that the feel of the back seats are similar to its predecessor, and the cabin room is enormously spacious, sufficient to fit in even tall individuals. What is different from the past is the dashboard, the meters look pristine and there are classy colour screens. The centre console looks posh.

The hybrid car is equipped with a robust sport hybrid –DCD engine that initiates acceleration in electric mode. The system oscillates between full engine and hybrid and its fuel efficiency reading is 36.4kmpl on stringent JC08 tests. The car felt torquey and responsive, the other engines used are petrol 1.3 liter that renders 26kmpl mileage attached to compact CVT automatic transmission.

The new Volkswagen Polo looks similar to the olden models, and sports a more evolutionary design. The same effect is visible in new City; the car sports a new frontal design along with newly structured headlights and bumper. The car looks amazing from the front and sports a sophisticated three dimensional look. There is a neat chrome strip that merges with two fog lights.

The car moves on potent TSI 1 litre engine that yields 90PS and there is a TSi 1.4 litre engine as well that produces 90PS. There is a new TSi 1.4 liter engine that churns 192PS and 150PS and runs on BlueMotion GT technology. Volkswagen has injected powerful diesel engines into the car which is 1.6 liter TDi that produces 90PS and 1.6 liter TDi that churns 105PS.

The new Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo are interesting new cars to look forward to; both are varied versions from the past. Polo is a better pick in terms of engine options, and both cars are equally amazing with respect to design.

The new Jazz and Polo are stiff contenders for series of current and upcoming hatches.
