Auto companies all over the globe are working on clean and green technologies; Honda has done wonders with its Accord hybrid. The car has surpassed the dominant evergreen hybrid stature of Toyota Prius.  Eco-car technology has is progressing at a rapid pace, the latest technique admired by auto firms all over the globe is hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology is feasible compared to electric and hybrid car technology, there is no requirement for plug -ins or hybrid engines. Fuel cell vehicles look like any other conventional model from the outside; the engine unit is stacked with technologically advanced items. There are layers of hydrogen fuel cells stacked in a unit that convert the hydrogen gas stored with oxygen into electricity that drives the vehicle. The different units that make up hydrogen fuel cell component are:

Hydrogen Storage tank: It stores hydrogen gas compressed at extremely high pressures to increase drive range.

Fuel Cell tank: Converts hydrogen gas and oxygen into electricity to drive the electric engine

Electric Motor: offers a quieter, smoother and more efficient ride than internal combustion engines. It is easier to maintain an electric engine than the regular conventional engine.

High Output Battery: Stores energy yielded from regenerative braking and provides additional power to electric motor.

Power Control Unit: Monitors the flow of electricity

From the detailed description of the principle behind the motion of hydrogen fuel vehicles, it is more practical form of eco-car technology. Honda is keen to push this  technology forward and has introduced its own water brand to showcase the zero emission release from its FCX car range that operates on hydrogen fuel technology. According to Honda FCX car range is the world’s first car  powered with hydrogen. The only emission is clean water, which Honda claims is drinkable. The company has manufactured bottled water that can run hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Honda’s Australian team emerged with the brilliant bottled water concept, which is now marketed to the public. The company has chalked out its distribution schemes to pile the water in fridges in Honda units and dealerships to promote the breakthrough technology and importance of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

The general manager of Honda Australia in charge of customer and communications, Jason Miller said, ‘’H20 brand is a useful approach to demonstrate the aim of the company to reduce environmental emissions. ‘’ The FCX model is also called Fuel Cell eXperimental and is Honda’s zero emission fuel cell project that will launch in 2015 in Japan and US and then Europe.

It is interesting to learn that Honda has launched a bottled water brand to promote the power and usefulness of hydrogen fuel cell technology. The principle used to drive the technology is simple yet high tech, which makes use of the formation of H20 by the combination of hydrogen and oxygen which drives electric motor. Toyota is also impressed with the supremacy of the technology and has even cancelled its agreement with Tesla that supplies electric battery components.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology sounds cost-effective and feasible.
