Honda has shocked the public with its new surprises such as Amaze and fourth gen City. The company has another stunning model in the pipeline called Mobilio MPV. It is an MPV version of Brio, and an Indian launch is just few months away, in July. Mobilio MPV looks stunningly grand; a video teaser image of the car is uploaded on YouTube. The public will certainly look forward to the car, the teaser image is Honda’s way of starting the countdown to the actual launch. Sources say that the video might just be a representation of Mobilio MPV and not the Indian model.
The production version of the car is up on the web, and is manufactured in Honda’s established factory in Greater Noida. The vision is to tarnish the power of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Mobilio will be sold in diesel and petrol variants, the power trains are sourced from overseas. The petrol car will run on robust iVTEC 1.5 litre engine that produces 146Nm and 118PS, and the diesel car manoeuvres on an efficient iDTEC 1.5 litre engine that generates 200Nm and 100PS.
Mobilio MPV is a seven seat car which is a dream package for many, and is longer than its arch rival, but not so with regard to width and height. The cabin room is enormously spacious and will cost Rs 6.1 to 8.5 lakhs. Honda cars are appreciated for their marvellously radiating design; Mobilio is no exception to the rule. The front of the car looks stunning with thick sparkling chrome bar placed between the artistically carved honeycomb grille. The headlights look great moulded into imaginative round structures. On the lower side of bumper are arty fog lights. The car has sprinkled of Amaze and Brio identities on the front apparent on the hood. The hood is raised to highlight its muscular MPV stature.
The surprise lies in the side profile; the second row has neat belt line that merges with D pillar. The car looks impressively sporty and macho contributed by glossy body coloured outer rear view mirrors with turn indicators. Mobilio resembles Toyota Innova from the rear.
Mobilio sports a grand enriched image from the outside, the insides are equally splendid. The first two rows are for adults and the last row is specifically designed for kids. The leg room space in third compartment is greater than its competition. The inner décor is royal all beige theme, which makes the car look homely. The steering wheel looks posh and has audio controls; the air con has three knobs. The window panes are huge which also adds to the homely effect, there are ample storage spots and customers can expect to encounter heaps of comfort with height adjustable chairs and arm rests.
Mobilio is packed with safety, the standard safety features are EBD and ABS, and other beneficial security attributes are dual airbags, keyless entry system and fog lights.
The teaser image of the car uploaded on YouTube displays a side view, the car is tilted side wards and viewers can clearly observe the rear section. Mobilio looks magnificent online; imagine how the real car will look.
