Ninth gen Honda Accord a signature premium car

Honda has new exciting products in the pipeline which are Mobilio MPV and new Jazz. The company has been on profit high in the past months, which comes as a shocking surprise, amidst the weak car economy scenario when most esteemed firms in the country are struggling to hit the net desired sale mark.

Honda has been on the buzz for its new launches and the most talked about products are Mobilio and new Jazz. There is another upcoming exciting model, called new Honda Accord. The new car is the ninth gen model, and will launch sometime in 2015, and is a replacement of the earlier car. A new Accord model sounds thrilling beyond words, more so if it is the ninth gen model. Sources are confident that the new Accord will be the ruler of premium car market. The car will have greater potential to rule the luxury car segment if it has a diesel engine and sold with reasonable price tag.

The new ninth gen Accord has many identities such as plug-in hybrid, hybrid, coupe and sedan. The new Accord will move on robust petrol 2.4 liter engine engineered with advanced Earth Dreams technology. The engine produces 240Nm and 185bhp. Honda has introduced powerful engineering theories into the car. To pump it with greater power, there is a V6 3.5 liter petrol engine that churns 342Nm and 278bhp. The engines are coupled with six speed manual and CVT gearbox.

Honda’s first diesel project was Amaze a compact sedan, the car has generated powerful sale outcomes since launch in 2013 April. The company then injected a robust iDTEC diesel engine into the new City, also used in Amaze. The new City is also a major profit player for the company. The diesel engine has resulted in best-in-class mileages. Amaze offers 25.8kmpl and 2014 City 26kmpl. It is however unsure if Honda will use a diesel engine in the ninth gen Accord model and sources say that there will not be a new diesel Accord. The company is probably keen to introduce a stylish car with enriched features. Accord is a premium car, and customers will opt for lavish cars to enjoy the luxurious of a posh model, and not much attention is concentrated on mileage. The ninth gen Accord looks magnificent and is injected with robust engine, which means it will have a string of arch rivals. Its fierce contenders are Hyundai Sonata, Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Passat.

Honda cars are in huge demand, the booking volumes for Amaze was so enormous few months most launch that the company had to build its second unit in Tapukara Rajasthan. The City too has a huge fan following, the waiting period is now four months. The new unit in Rajasthan along with the company’s established unit in Manesar has resulted in overall annual sale volume of 2.4 lakh units. Honda aims to expand its dealership output in the near future with many more units in tier 3 cities.

The ninth gen Accord looks grand, and is filled with exorbitant power, and is a car to look forward to in 2015.
