The sedan market in India is huge, and most sought after by highly qualified individuals. There are many new sedan launches, with different identities from the past. The new Honda City is a big launch; it is not just a progression from the earlier car, but an evolutionary model. It sports a whole new design theme called Exciting H design and sleek cross motion. Fiat Linea is exceptionally stylish and posh. Let us compare the two cars.
Fiat Linea is among the most stylish sedan cars to town, the cabin room is vastly spacious and sources have enjoyed the ride encounter in the car. Fiat has recently launched the new Linea, a facelift car. The car too is a greater stunner of the past, the new Fiat is more premium, and does not have the same old mundane lines as observed in its predecessor. The car looks grand inside out; the initial cost of City petrol is Rs 7.19 lakh and stretches to Rs 10.8 lakh, the high-end automatic car. Linea is sold at starting price of Rs 7.44 lakh for the base T jet car and extends to Rs 9 lakhs.
Insides:
The insides of Linea look magnificent; sources say the cabin design is among the most elegant in recent times. The dashboard portrays a professional cream shade packed with sparkling tender plastic, which matches the taste of modern car fanatics. The equipments are updated observed in controls, and new central column. The dashboard is neatly arranged, so is the audio system and air con vents. The entire arrangement is well organized, there is a warm ambient lighting theme that makes the car look incredibly posh at night. Fiat has introduced an advanced My Car settings theme to monitor light intensity. The cushions are comfortable, but not to the effect of Honda.
Sources were immensely pleased by the City’s cushions, known to be super comfy. The seats are draped with a fine soft fabric; the dashboard is structured into a neat new T shape. The grand inner décor is contributed by the majestic piano black theme, the air cons look great. The gearlever is positioned differently, and is extremely easy to use. The back seats are also very comfortable with ample room, in sync with Honda’s vision to offer abundant comfort and space. The only concern is limited head space.
Engine:
Linea has a smooth engine, sources enjoyed the drive experience of the petrol car packed with 1.4 litre T jet engine, and it generates 112bhp. The mid range power output is enjoyable on long free roads; the impact of power is robust after 2,000 rpm. The car has light gearbox which enables efficient sharp turns, and the impact is unnoticeable. The concern here is when the car has halted for a while in traffic, the power build up is slow. The steering is firm and fits in easily into the wrist. The tire grip is good as well, Linea can drift through unfavourable road conditions with ease.
The new City moves on an efficient iVTEC 1.5 liter petrol engine, the drive effect is smooth, much more than the earlier car. The initial power thrust is amazing, and the take off is excellent at any speed. The car is great for speedy drives only if it is not out of control. It takes just 10.13 secs to spearhead past the 100kph mark. It moves faster than Linea and the engine is also more refined. Honda City is a more valuable car.
