Honda has a big launch for India few months from now called Mobilio MPV; it is a seven seat model. A new MPV launch is exciting beyond words especially if it is a product of Honda. Mobilio is Honda’s first venture in entry level MPV segment. It is a global launch, the car has hit Indonesian markets, and a new RS car is in the pipeline. Its most talked of fiercest rival is Maruti Ertiga Sporty.
The RS variant of Mobilio has a 2+3+2 seating configuration, with admirable 185mm ground clearance. The car is designed to suit the needs and aspirations of Indonesian demographic. RS Mobilio will move on robust 1.5 litre four cylinder iVTEC engine that produces 146Nm and 116.3bhp. The engine is admirably fuel efficient and offers 15 to 17kmpl.
The diesel car is also equally robust and moves on an efficient iDTEC 1.5 liter engine. The engine is only for Indian markets, and oozes out impressive efficiencies of 200Nm and 98.6bhp. Customers can rely on the car to effectively cover massive distances contributed by 20kmpl mileage.
The RS model has creatively styled twin slat chrome grille, inventively styled headlights packed with powerful LED lights, RS badge and roof spoiler. The other interesting arty cues to look forward to are imaginatively designed alloy wheels, macho front bumper, side skirts and sporty back bumper.
The manual Mobilio costs Rs 214 million Rupiah which is Rs 11.44 lakhs INR, the automatic car is priced at 225 million, which is Rs 12 lakhs INR. The most loaded car costs 27 million Rupiah, Rs 1.44 lakhs INR.
Honda has not revealed about the launch of RS Mobilio variant in India, according to sources, the Indian division of Honda, Honda Cars India stated that they are analyzing the feasibility effects of launching the car in the country, inclusive of the practicality of introducing Modulo kits. Sources are of the view that the market conditions are not too feasible for Indian launch.
The Indonesian demographic is obsessed with Mobilio, a perfect family package. The car will hit Indian markets in July, it is a mega launch, and to churn pre-launch excitements, Honda has started promotional campaigns, to customers and owners of Honda vehicles. The expected price range is between Rs 6.5 to 10 lakhs.
