The 2015 Honda Fit is a big launch; the car is expected to hit American markets sometime in June. Castles of excitement is centered on the car, sources have had a pre-launch taste of the car, and have given their impression. The new Fit is a subcompact car with oodles of space, and class leading features. Sources have driven the car in and around San Diego.

The car is sold in EX-L Navi, EX-L, EX and LX variants, the standard LX car costs % 15,525 and is packed with features with world class music system with USB connectivity, trip computer, power window and door locks, 15 inch steel wheels, remote keyless entry, cruise control, driver’s seat height adjustment, rear view camera, Bluetooth connectivity and premium upholstery. It is a lot for the most basic model. The higher end EX car has 16 inch alloy wheels, paddle shifter, fog lights, company designed LaneWatch blind spot system, 7 inch display audio, push start button and sunroof. The EX-L feature has leather fitted steering wheel, shift knob, heated side mirrors, heated front seats and leather upholstery. The most loaded EX-L Navi car has HD and satellite radio, navigation system fitted with rear time traffic.

The mechanical fitments are new; the car is tucked with robust four cylinder iVTEC 1.5 liter engine that produces 114lb ft torque and 130 horsepower. It is coupled with six speed manual transmission or continuously variable automatic transmission with 7 gear rations and steering wheel paddles. It is an impressively fuel efficient model, with (EPA) Environmental Protection Agency mileage of 33mpg in ideal city and 41mpg in well suited highway conditions. The CVT and manual car offers 29 and 37 mpg respectively.

The 2015 Fit is a subcompact model from the outside; the inside paints a different story. Sources have used the phrase magical, the interior room is enormously spacious, and car buffs have used an interesting theme to define the exorbitance of the car, saying that it has leg room space of limousine and cargo volume of compact crossover. The new exterior frame has resulted in increased dimension of 3.1 inches, along with increased wheelbase measurement of 2.1 inches. The extended rear leg room volume is 4.8 inches.

The inner fitments are grand; the control layout sports a simple design, with arty round climate control dials. The dials look great; the concern here is the reading is not too visible. The LX has five inch screen with hands free voice recognition and Bluetooth connectivity. The EX car has seven inch screen display, coupled with HondaLink. Users can connect Honda Link to iPhones to access Facebook and internet. It can be connected to any smartphone through Bluetooth streaming audio.

Sources were pleased with LaneWatch system, when right turn signal is activated, camera on passenger side mirror sends signal to right of car to center screen and functions as advanced blind spot monitor. There is a button at end of turn signal stalk that enables driver to view image any time.

Honda Fit on the whole is a fun car to drive, the enjoyment lies in the light weight and comfy interior room.  For those who can’t wait to own the new Honda Fit, the wait is short.
