It’s been months since Honda Cars India launched City diesel, it is among the desirable vehicles in the market and people continue to speak out their experience with the vehicle. City is a common sight on Mumbai roads, and the traffic scenario is just never ending, people drive at below five kilometers an hour, and at no given time has it been stuffy and uncomfortable. The seats are comfy; the music system is world class with massive acoustic thump that is mind blowing for hard core music buffs.

The City come in a desirable packages, it too has its flaws, reports say there is an issue with Bluetooth telephone sync software. Owners felt that there are instructions on how to reset infotainment system, buy just removing battery terminals for few minutes. The other concern was leakage of rain water into passenger compartment. It was a problem with other vehicles as well, water just swept in because of the fragile plastic bonding agent that held the door panel. It was a problem with cars launched at an earlier period and not the recent ones.
The latest City piece is the fourth generation model; it looks unique and stylish to the core. The awe-inspiring nature of the vehicle is contributed by the world class Shark Conceptual Design; it gives tints of character and freshness to the core. It looks classy from the front and the classiness is attained by solid wing face chrome grille on which is a neatly carved H logo. The layout of hood is the same as the earlier model; the only different is the nature of the curve on the edge. The striking characteristic that makes the vehicle stand out is the design flow of side and mid section of front bumper. For effective passage of air there is panoramic sun roof. On the rear are neatly structured wraparound tail lights, the boot door are raised slightly for easy exit and entry.
The inside of City is magnificently grand and top class, the décor is mind blowing contributed by the neat layer of leather upholstery and fabric quality. The seats are super comfy, there is ample shoulder and leg room, the seats have height adjustment facilities, and there are adjustable head rests on front seats. The cabin room is pretty vast to effectively accommodate five occupants. The structure of instrument panel is great and has odometer, exterior temperature meter, fuel consumption display, speedometer and tachometer. There is a world class music system with hands-free telephone, AM/FM, I-pod, USB and Aux-in facilities. The 510 liter boot volume makes it a perfect vacation car.
City diesel is equipped with an efficient four cylinder 1.5 liter iDTEC DOHC mill. It is a newly developed engine by the pioneering Research and Development team. The mill yields 200Nm and 100PS coupled with six speed manual transmission gearbox. It is a strong contender in the market and its arch rivals are Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta, Fiat Linea and Hyundai Verna Fluidic.
The car is sold in interesting and professional colors of Carnelian Red Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White and Golden Brown Metallic. The new City is sold with a valuable price tag of Rs 7.3 to 11.2 lakhs.
