Honda Cars India is continuing its great feat in the Indian car market in terms of sales and growth. The company’s Amaze and all new City are both doing superbly, while the newly launched Mobilio has got phenomenal response that has exceeded the company’s expectations. Currently, the third largest car maker in India (as per monthly sales), Honda India is unstoppable, but is not content with the success that it is receiving.
Honda has revealed that it wishes to become India’s largest car maker and aims to cross India’s leading auto maker Maruti Suzuki in sales in the coming time. Honda is thus continuing its great new car launch strategy and has many more new cars up its sleeves. As the company has already launched two new cars this year, Honda India has decided to keep its other new launches reserved for the next year, as it wishes to observe the demands for the newly launched Mobilio in the next few months.
Thus, the all new Jazz’s Indian launch is going to take place next year. Honda Cars India has announced that it will launch the all new Jazz in March 2015.
The all new Honda Jazz premium hatchback has been already launched in the other car markets such as New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines, in all of which the car has got good response from the customers. The car’s Indian launch was earlier speculated to take place towards the end of this year, however now it is clear that the company is not launching it this year, but the coming year.
The all new Jazz will be the resurrection of the brand in India, as Honda phased out the previous Jazz model in India last year owing to its poor sales due to overpricing and lack of a diesel counterpart. The new Jazz petrol will get a 1.2 liter i-VTEC motor generating 88 PS of power, while the diesel engine will be the same star performing 1.5 liter i-DTEC mill delivering 100 PS power.
To ensure the all new Jazz’s success in India in this time around, Honda is expected to price the car very competitively and increase the car’s localization considerably to keep the price tag in check. The all new Honda Jazz is expected to be priced in the price slab of Rs. 5 to Rs. 7 lakhs. The new Jazz will be competing in the Indian car market with the Maruti Swift, the all new Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo, the upcoming Tata Bolt and the new Fiat Punto Evo.
The all new Honda Jazz will be based on the same platform as the fourth generation all new City sedan. The premium hatchback has become bigger and better in terms of space and styling and packs in a lot of great features as well. This time around, the new Honda Jazz is expected to be great success.
