Honda Cars India Limited has conquered the automobile sale charts lately, even under the harsh economy circumstances. The company has recorded month after month profits, while many other established firms were struggling to generate sales for two continuous years.

Submerged in months of profit celebration, Honda is cautious about the status of its popular cars CR-V, Amaze and Brio. The company lately announced of its aim to replace the driver side airbag inflator of 63 CR-V cars, 1,235 Amaze models and 1,235 Brio products. The cars under consideration are those manufactured from 2011 September to 2014 July.

The public will surely wonder about the sudden precaution taken by Honda to check inflator airbags of CR-V, Amaze and Brio. It is a measure taken in association with global recall, to rectify baffle plate in inflator. Affected by the recall, the company is concerned about certain side effects that might occur when the inflator would rise to an undesirable level, when the air bag in the driver’s compartment is in contact with adverse accident, it will damage the container. Honda confirmed of the possible mishaps in a statement.

Honda Cars India Limited is checking the status of inflator airbags as a part of preventive measure to maintain optimum quality of all products. Honda Motors Company has asked for a global recall, but there have not been any issues with the Indian range of cars. The inflator airbag replacement will happen in all Indian dealership units of the company, and customers can get it done at free of cost, and authorities will contact all owners.

Honda Cars India has allotted a (VIN) vehicle identification number to all customers. It is a seventeen character alpha numerical displayed on the company website, and consumers can check if they have serviced their cars under the VIN identification number.

Honda Motors Company is not the only firm to engage in recalls, Nissan India too has recalled its popular Sunny sedan and Micra hatchback cars. Here too the defect is concentrated on safety, contributed by defective airbags in driver’s compartment.

Vehicle recalls is a concern, it affects customer trust value, but it has now become a trend, and reading about it is no longer uncommon. There have been so many new developments in the automobile industry and consumers have become choosy about their car choices. The desirability factor is not just limited to professionally styled body, consumers look at comfort, engine power, mileage and safety as key profit driving factors. The most critical of all is safety.

In today’s fast paced world of reckless drive and jam packed traffic, automobile firms have invested enormous funds towards the development of advanced safety technology. It is a great move of Honda to replace inflator airbags, going by the global recalls; it is an initiative to safeguard the lives of consumers.

CR-V, Brio and Amaze are in great demand, and now with new inflator airbags, the request for the cars will climb to a new level.
