The world is developing eco-friendly cars; it is the need of the hour and the latest hot topic of research and development. On the topic of clean and green auto energy the first image that surfaces is an electric vehicle system, the newest form of pioneering research is hydrogen fuel-cell.
Hydrogen powered cars are a simple and sustainable, the vehicles run on water and it uses water which enables the vehicle to move a distance. It is a reliable form of eco-vehicle system different from a battery powered vehicle where consumers have to depend on the extent of electricity consumption.
Hydrogen fuel cell cars seem to be the perfect solution to combat high-intensity pollution that has hit the world. Researchers are still not completely positive about the usage output, and the steaming question that has cropped pioneering minds is the extent of hydrogen infrastructure build up. Honda hydrogen fuel cell project is FCV concept, the car is sold in California, and the feasible legal system in the state has made it a flexible ground to accommodate the FCV concept car. The state has proposed a strict emission standard system framework, and hence is an attractive medium to promote eco-friendly cars.
It is hard to differentiate a fuel cell vehicle from a conventional system; it is the technology operation that is different. There is a fuel cell stack that stores hydrogen, the stored hydrogen combines with atmospheric oxygen to form electricity that drives the vehicle. Although the technology is moveable and efficient, infrastructure is the main concern; it is a task to construct a hydrogen filled tank, which is not at all available in any gas station. Honda has spoken of its plan to build a hydrogen fuel cell system at the prestigious LA Auto Show that happened this week.
The FCV Concept constructed by Honda has an external power feeder called Honda Power Exporter, in a press statement, the company mentioned that the power exporter is designed to signal the onset of disasters, and it would be useful to alert the public during events of earthquakes and tsunamis. The power density output of FCV concept is 3.1kW/L, and its maneuvering capacity is 300 miles, and it takes barely three to five minutes for a complete refuel when done at a 70MPa hydrogen refueling station.
Honda will showcase its revolutionary FCV technology to the public in 2016 March in Japan. Eminent Japanese based auto enterprises Toyota and Honda aim to build the innovation capacity of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, and support its sustainability potential.
Media reports are of the view that the upcoming hydrogen fuel cell system resembles something that belongs to the movie. Going by the image uploaded on the web, it does look like a fantastical piece. It is molded into a professional sedan structure, with extraordinary cuts and ridges, something that is rarely visible on any other sedan on the planet. The free flowing sloping roofline builds the fantasy stance of the car.
Honda surely has a prodigious surprise in store.
