While the Honda Vezel SUV has already gone on sale in Honda’s home market Japan, the American spec HR-V will be making its official market launch across the US in early 2015. The new Honda HR-V will be a new entrant in the highly popular and fast-growing global crossover market.

The new Honda HR-V crossover offers alluring refined design language, nice feature list, fun drive experience, peerless interior space, superb seating versatility and class-leading fuel efficiency. All these aspects of this great new Honda vehicle are enough to charm the US crossover aficionados.

The Honda HR-V is an entirely new vehicle based on the car maker’s new global platform. The greatest USP of this stylish new crossover is its outstanding spacious cabin. The great spacious interior of the HR-V is further enhanced with the great versatility thanks to its Magic Seats that can be folded flat to enhance the cargo space to great extent, and configured in different ways to offer great flexible seating options as per the requirement of the passengers. Add to this, the central mounted fuel tank of the new HR-V which ensures the great voluminous cabin space. With all its great interior smart flexibility and space, the compact HR-V has the capability to challenge the mid-sized SUVs in the market.

The Honda HR-V comes with dynamic and sporty styling that eradicates all boringness or boxy designs of traditional SUVs and offers a smooth flowing sedan like exterior design. However, the crossover is very aggressive looking as well, with an aggressively styled front fascia and distinct side contours that are complemented with bold character lines and sharply sculpted front and rear bumpers. The vehicle’s cabin is again shaped similar to that of a coupe, while its hidden rear door handles add to its coupe-like stance.

The Honda HR-V compact SUV/crossover is a thorough sophisticated and premium vehicle with an up-class, refined cabin with plenty of soft-touch and premium materials and up-market detailing with chrome and piano black trims.

The new Honda HR-V is powered by a refined and quick responsive 1.8 liter 4-cylinder mill empowered with i-VTEC valvetrain technology. The engine has the capability of producing a max power of 138 HP at 6500rpm and 127 lbft of peak torque at 4300rpm. The motor is paired with an efficient CVT gearbox or a 6 speed manual gearbox for the 2WD models. The HR-V will be offered in both 2WD and 4WD drive systems.
