India’s second largest car manufacturer is all set to release the diesel version hitch car of the economic class of India. Honda is very eager to launch its first diesel car in hitch segment and is testing the car on highways for further modifications but the company Honda seems the Car to be released with an ease without any disturbances. The diesel car testing are being carried out and the results of the tests would make changes in the car type but would be reflected in the next fleet of the cars that would come with variations. Honda is well planned to release its hitch car in the diesel version by 2013. But due to hike in the petrol rates the company is taking steps to release the car Honda Brio diesel by this diwali. All the country is eagerly waiting for is the price tag of the car and the rate at which the car would be available for. As per the company’s review the cars cost has not yet been decided or fixed but the car may be available for about 1-1.2 lakh more than the petrol version of the Honda Brio. The petrol version of the car is priced at about 4.5-5.5 Lakh where now we can imagine the price of the diesel version car. The car may be available for about 6.5-6.8 Lakhs in the Indian market.
The government plans to reduce the diesel consumption in the Indian market would definitely make a change over the car Honda Brio. The government is well planning to impose excess duty charges on the diesel cars. The imposed tax would halt the production of both petrol and diesel cars in the India. The diesel cars would be costly than the petrol cars by about 1.5-2 lakh rupees. The Company is planning to release all the cars of its fleet in the diesel version to pocket the Indian market. The petrol version of the Honda Brio provides a mileage about 15kmpl while the diesel version is expected to give a mileage about 22kmpl where the diesel version would definitely be preferred. The Honda is all-set to release its fleet of cars: Honda Jazz, Honda City, Honda Accord, and Honda CR-V in the diesel versions for the economic India. This is very good news for the Honda lovers that they are likely to get their loved cars in the diesel cars that would change the cost of travelling in the diesel cars.
The technical details of the diesel car are marked as the car would be available with a 1.2 Liter 4 cylinders engine that enables 1198 cc displacement. The car would deliver a maximum output power of 70Ps @ 5000rpm and the diesel version is likely to reduce the power and torque where the car is likely to produce a torque about 100Nm @ 4000 rpm. And the car would be delivered as a 5-speed manual transmission car.
