(HCIL) has posted the sales growth of an astounding 156 percent in the month of July 2013. The Japanese luxury car maker has reportedly sold 11,223 vehicles in the month of July this year as compared against the sale of 4,386 cars in the same month in the year 2012.
Honda India sold 40,350 cars and announced a collective growth of 65 percent during the period between April and July 2013 as compared against the sales of 24,462 vehicles in the corresponding period in the year 2012.
In the month of July, 2013 Honda has exported a total 756 vehicles. The Japanese car major recorded a sale of total 6515 units of Amaze mini sedan, 2602 units Brio hatchback and 1953 units of the City sedan in the last month. The company also managed to find 20 takers its premium sedan Accord, while the CRV SUV recorded the sale of 133 units.
While speaking on the company’s incredible success even during the market slowdown, the Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. Mr. Jnaneswar Sen said that Honda Amaze has recorded its highest monthly sales of 6,515 units in the month of July, 2013 and is also successfully maintaining positive growth momentum, as the compact sedan has sold more than 24,000 units ever since its launch. As the demand of the Amaze is growing rapidly, the company has decided to start a third shift in its manufacturing facility to increase the production of the Amaze from November 2013, in order to reduce the waiting period of the car. This is the company strategy to ensure the customers’ satisfaction as well as to augment the production of the car as per the high demand.
