Honda India brings new ‘SX’ model trim for Amaze packed with additional safety features

The Japanese luxury car major and the leading premium car maker in India, Honda Cars India has unveiled a new model variant of its super successful Amaze compact sedan. The new model trim is called the ‘SX’ and it comes packed with additional safety features to offer even greater convenience and safety to the consumers. The new “SX” model trim will be placed above the current “S” variant of the Amaze and will be offered in both Petrol and Diesel versions mated with manual gearbox.

The added safety features package that comes in the new Amaze SX variant comprises of Dual Airbags in the front apart from all the features that are offered already in the “S” model trim. Moreover, the Anti Locking Braking System that is a standard features in all the model trims of the Amaze Diesel version, will now be available in the newly unveiled in the SX variant even in the petrol version alongside the top of the line petrol variant “VX”.

Thus, Honda has expanded the Amaze model range even further, extending the entire Amaze lineup to 12 model trims, namely the E, EX, S, SX (newly unveiled), VX (in both Petrol and Diesel) and the S AT and the VX AT (in only Petrol version). The increased choice of model trims is expected to further enhance the popularity of this star struck compact sedan, which has become one of the fastest selling cars in India within a very short time after its launch.

While speaking at the time of announcing the launch of the new Amaze SX variant, the Senior V.P of Marketing and Sales at Honda India, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen said that Honda Amaze has experienced great success in the Indian car market by selling over 60,000 units after its market launch in April, 2013 and became a game changer for the company.  Thus, the company is constantly endeavoring to meet customers’ requirements by introducing features that will improve the entire ownership experience of the Amaze. The company is happy to introduce the Amaze “SX” variant with more safety features. The S model has been the most popular Amaze variant, and with the new SX variant, the company is confident that the Amaze will offer more delight to the customers looking for additional safety features.

The Amaze is Honda’s first diesel offering in India and represents the best technological advancements of the company. Both the diesel and petrol variants of the Honda Amaze are increasingly popular in India. Developed based on the Brio hatch, the Amaze has alluring exterior design, spacious and comfortable interior, good boot space and matchless fuel efficiency. The Amaze diesel is powered by a new 1.5 liter advanced i-DTEC diesel mill that offers a segment leading fuel efficiency of 25.8 km per liter as well as best-in-class power output of 100PS.

The new Amaze SX variant is priced at Rs. 622,640 for the petrol version and Rs. 712,240 for the diesel version (ex-showroom, Delhi).
