The Honda Mobilio MPV, which made its Indian debut at the 2014 Auto Expo, has been really keeping the auto lovers on the edge, as it is taking too long to hit the actual market, while the Japanese maker is continuously teasing the auto enthusiasts by releasing new pictures and details about the MPV on its official website in the country. Only a week ago, Honda released a new set of Mobilio images further confirming the fact that the vehicle will be officially available in the Indian car market from July. On the other hand, Honda India is also displaying the Mobilio at various popular shopping malls all over India in order to give a real taste of the vehicle to the prospective buyers. Nevertheless, while the Japanese car major is revealing so much about the vehicle, it is also keeping a lot to heighten the suspense, for instance the company has still not revealed the exact launch of the vehicle in India.
Coming back to the latest news that is going viral on the internet, according to the reports the Honda dealers across the country have started accepting bookings for the new Mobilio MPV. As per the reports of a reputed car portal, the Honda Mobilio can be pre-booked for a token amount of Rs. 51,000. Sources have also confirmed that some specific authorized Honda dealers in Delhi as well as Jaipur have started taking pre-launch bookings for the Mobilio MPV with the mentioned advance amount, while the other Honda dealers such as in Mumbai and Pune will soon start accepting the bookings in a few days’ time. Thus, expect all the other Honda dealers in all the major parts of India to commence the bookings within a week’s time.
The popular Honda Brio hatchback’s platform has gone into the development of the Mobilio after the Amaze. The Mobilio which is Honda’s first venture into the MPV market in India will be offered in both petrol and diesel versions powered by the 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engines mated to a standard five-speed manual gearbox. The petrol Mobilio will also get a CVT automatic transmission. The diesel Mobilio is expected to deliver India’s highest mileage of 26 km per liter, or even more.
Honda Mobilio MPV is all set to lock its horns with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia in the country. The Mobilio being more spacious, premium and powerful than the current compact MPV leader Ertiga is expected to overshine it in terms of sales after its market launch. However, the Honda Mobilio will also be priced more than the Maruti Ertiga, and is expected be to be priced in the price bracket of Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 8.50 lakh.
