Ford India, the Indian subsidiary of the esteemed America headquartered firm has made a remarkable profit of 7,253 unit s in February. The company last month witnesses a 16% increase in sales with 2,763 units compared to 2,389 units in February 2012. The domestic sales of the company is 4,490 units in February 2013 compared to 8,035 units in Feb 2012.
According to Vinay Piparsania, executive director, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, said, ‘’In the domestic segment, we continue to witness some tough and taxing conditions. While we are aiming to create consumer interests in our amazing products, our business is being hindered by policy uncertainty which is translating to lower consumer confidence.’’
He also said, ‘’We are thrilled with the results of our export segments which continues to grow according to our strategy of expansion in overseas markets to brand India with the hot hub for small cars tag.’’
Ford has recently rolled out the ‘’alterrain’’ model of the sturdy and robust Endeavour SUV. The Endeavour alterrain Edition is equipped with fresh refreshments of stylish alloy wheels, sharp front grille decked with prominent nameplate badge, front nudge bar, roof tray and rear spoiler , chrome exhaust trim and fifth door mirror. To commemorate the great launch, Ford India and National Geographic Channel introduced the ‘’MyEndeavour alterrain,’’ an exciting and adventurous series shot with five celebrities during the Endeavour alterrain Edition on exciting journeys to fetch their ideal wish.
Ford is strengthening its base to cater to consumer convenience upgrade. In February, Ford India, inaugurated its debut dealership in Sikkim at Gangtok, and another dealership at Himmatnagar in Gujarat. Ford India has a strong foothold in India with dealerships in 138 countries through 260 outlets.
