The Honda Amaze will soon hit Indian roads, and the company has released over 2,000 units of the sedan to showrooms in India. The Amaze is a sedan version of the Honda Brio.
The Honda Amaze models spotted were the iVTEC petrol car in the VX trim version and a powerful I DTEC diesel in the EX trim version. The Amaze is the first diesel car to be manufactured by Honda and is equipped with a 1.5 litre iDTEC power train that churns impressive energy output of 200Nm torque and 100PS power. The car will compete with the popular and efficient Maruti Suzuki Dzire; the car has passed through the stringent ARAI regulations. The similarity of the Amaze with the Brio lies in the same B pillar design, the rear has a different artistic sculpture. The Amaze is carved with longer wheel base measurement than the Brio to accommodate more room.
The Amaze has already hit the mark with consumers before the launch of the car with its creative exterior, roomy interiors and efficient engine efficiency. Honda cars are known to possess efficient engines, but the problem is the steep pricing of the cars, the company has priced the Amaze to meet the average consumer pricing levels which should heighten the sales output of the Amaze and profit shares of the company.
Honda designed the Amaze to obtain an aerodynamic effect, which is pretty visible with the light and thin aluminum finish and cast iron cylinders with a light dimension. The company has used an open deck method to minimize the weight.
The interesting feature of the Honda Amaze is the impressive fuel efficiency of 25.8 kilometers per litre which brands this car as the most fuel efficient car. The car is scheduled to launch on April 11th and surely matches Indian consumer taste with its strikingly attractive exterior of less than 4 meter car, with abundant room to accommodate many occupants.
There are other models with amazing mileages close to that of the Amaze; the Chevrolet Beat diesel has a mileage of 25.44 kilometer per litre, 25 kilometer per liter in CR4 and 25.4 kilometer per litre in the Tata Nano. Fuel efficient car is the most important feature to draw customers, especially in India with corporate and professional houses situated close to the outskirts. The Amaze diesel matches this requirement where consumers can travel long distanced without worrying of fuel limitations. The other interesting features of Amaze are the efficient engines, and interior room to accommodate a group of family members and friends. This car has strong competitors of Dzire, Chevrolet Beat and so on. The car is few days away from official launch in India, and would be interesting to observe its performance on Indian roads and experience a highly fuel efficient car and enjoy a pleasurable long vacation drive.
