The year 2015 is a great one for Honda car enthusiasts in India, there is a splendid range of new cars to choose from. We are excited with the news of the arrival of a new Jazz, new CR-V and new Accord. There is also another signature launch that is awe-inspiring at first sight called Vezel. For months there were extensive reports of a possible Vezel launch and now it is true.
The compact SUV market is flourishing in India, and it is the main vision behind Honda’s move to introduce Vezel in India. The other strategic export destinations are Europe and America. Vezel is attractive at first sight, and is an assortment of design professionalism and sophistication. If it sounds exciting enough, let’s see what’s in store.
Vezel is engineered on the same base body structure as Jazz, and sources say the design flow of the car is more like a crossover, and the mystery behind it is the robust line along C-pillar. The attractiveness of Vezle at first sight is contributed by the curves, there are like several of them, and the other sight of attraction is arty roof line. It is the curves that make Vezel totally desirable.
On the front is imaginatively sculpted grille on top of which is creatively sculpted Honda logo. The fog lights look trendy and stylish, and the arty headlights look exceptionally classy and build the aesthetic value of the car. The side is mesmerising as well, and filled with dynamic lines and curves, a true sense of design innovation, simply because it looks nothing like the ordinary and more like the outer-space extraordinary. The exteriors will have break indicator, rear reflectors, rear wiper and rear defogger.
The interior too is nothing short of optimum magnificence, and according to reports it is filled with a marvellous combination of luxury and comfort. The space inside is abundant, and some of the high-tech features are premium steering with audio controls, cruise control and sunroof, rear parking sensor with camera, automatic air con devise and state-of-the art infotainment system. For high level convenience, the seats have height adjustment facility with tilt steering. Customers can expect to feel adequately safe with a couple of air bags, seat belts, rear parking sensors, anti-lock breaking system and electronic brake force distribution.
The Japanese spec car has three power trains, hybrid, diesel and petrol, the petrol car is installed with an efficient 1.5 litre four cylinder engine and also a 1.5 litre i-VTEC power train fitted into the new generation City. The power packed engines generate 146Nm torque and 116 bhp power energies. The diesel car will be fitted with 1.5 litre 16 valve engine that generates 200Nm and 98bhp. Honda claims that Vezel will offer 25.8kmpl mileage, the same capacity as Amaze. There are manual and automatic variants to choose from, and both are linked to five speed manual gearbox.
The expected price range is Rs 10 lakh, and buyers who are desperately keen on Vezel will have to wait till the end of 2015. It is definitely worth it, to dive into a signature product packed with unbelievable levels of comfort, luxury, safety and advanced technology.
