Honda Cars India Limited has introduced the Honda Jazz, the fresh contender from the 3rd Generation Honda lineup. The Honda Jazz has been introduced in the Indian market with the sales starting from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Market. The manufacturer is aiming to increase the Company sales by a significant percentage by the end of the year with the new Jazz.
With the surprisingly high profits earned by the Honda City and Honda Amaze, Honda cars India Limited recorded a highest grossing annual sale of 1,89,062 units in the domestic segment in the financial year 2014-2015, grossing a 23 percent growth till the very last month. The flagship is now aiming towards a whooping double digit sale once again this year with the Honda Jazz. Honda beat Mahindra & Mahindra to capture the position of the third highest grossing car manufacturer in March 2015 with the sale of 22,696 units in the month.
The 3rd Generation Honda Jazz was developed in Tochigi, Japan, while keeping in mind the results of the international surveys conveyed to figure out the major utility and lifestyle requirements of car owners worldwide. Honda is now competing with its own success and aiming to beat the success of the Honda City and Honda Amaze with the new Honda Jazz. The Honda City alone reached a sale of over 1,00,000 in 2015.
The Honda Jazz is a fully functional compact hatchback that will offer dynamic designing and impressive mileage apart from sporting advanced utility features based on the latest technology. The international model banks its sales inspiration on functionality and variation.
The hatchback will be available in petrol and diesel variants in the Indian market. The diesel engine will come with a 1.5L capacity. The mileage, at 27.3kmpl is the biggest USP of the model. The petrol variant has a 0.3L lesser capacity at 1.2L but the i-VTEC engine will ensure high fuel efficiency for the petrol engine as well.
HCIL has undertaken the mission of an expansion of the manufacturing plant in Rajasthan and is expecting the mission to be accomplished by the second quarter of 2016. The expansion of the factories is estimated to increase the capacity of the turnout by 25 percent. The 2,40,000 units per annum production is expected to get a sharp boost of a 3,00,000 units per annum.
Jnaneswar Sen, the Senior Vice President of the Marketing and Sales department of HCIL claims that the Honda Jazz is promising for both, the functionality and various aesthetic requirements of car owners. Honda is banking on the business the 3rd Generation Jazz does in the Indian market and overseas. With 232 dealerships across 152 cities, HCIL has already achieved a 36 percent growth in the Indian market by focusing marketing in the newer Tier III cities.
It is only a matter of a few months to find out whether Honda lives up to its own expectations. Experts say it is safe to presume that the Honda Jazz will possibly not only live up to but also, outdo the estimates of the Company.
