Both Honda city and the Maruti sx4 has been here in India for quite some time now in India and has impressed many with their performance. Honda City has been one of the best selling products for Honda. Maruti SX4 in comparison to Honda City has not been able to sell much. Let’s find out some of the more features and the introduction of the new SX4 Diesel and weather it will impress the people and increase its sell?
Honda the Japanese manufacturer has worked a lot in giving the City a new and exciting shape so that it becomes instant hit amongst the people and Honda fans,. The car has been given an arrow shape the front looks very sharp it has a bold grille in the front facial with the Honda badge in the centre of it. The headlights are swayed to the extreme corner of the car’s front to give it a sharper look. The side remains almost unchanged with body colored mirrors and the rear has a crystal clear tail lamp so that it can be noticed from a far off distance.
Maruti Sx4 is a compact looking car and looks more masculine. The front grille looks bold with the Suzuki badge on it. The front headlamps are beautifully carved and look good at the front. From the side the car has body colored side mirrors and side skirts running all the way to the rear of the car. The rear lamps are clear lens and can be seen from a far distance.
The beige colored interiors gives an up market feel to the Honda City and it has spacious interiors and the seats are very comfortable too. It has a dual tone dashboard inside the cabin. It has a good leg room as well Good headroom space inside the cabin. It also has small storage spaces inside the cabin and cup holders too.
The dashboard has an integral audio system and a powerful ac, it also has a glove box and a display which gives information about time and temperature, the fabric material used in the seats are soft and comfortable. The steering wheel can be tilted and it also has audio mounted switches on it. The interior is spacious but not like Honda city but passengers won’t have much of a problem inside because it has quite a lot of headroom.
Well it won’t do any justice if we compare a petrol engine with a diesel one Honda has not officially declared any diesel engine yet. Let’s hope that Maruti’s SX4 diesel has refined and smooth diesel engine which impresses the people and increase the sales of this particular model. But the increasing petrol prices are will surely pull people towards the diesel driven machines and this can be an advantage for the Maruti.
