Honda has launched its CR-V to tap the SUV market in India which suits every occasion be it a red carpet event, a corporate presentation or a golf match. Honda CR-V is now not just a four wheeler SUV but a status symbol for many. But a question do arise, is Honda CR-V tough enough? This question will be answered gradually.
Honda CR-V was first introduced in the year 1996 by the Honda Motors globally. It is the one and only SUV offered by Honda till now. Since Honda manufactures its vehicles in UK and Japan for most of the countries, Honda CR-V was brought in India as completely built unit. Recently, Honda has also unveiled its fourth generation CR-V.

In its front the prominent two step format looking grille and the sharper looking halogen headlamps adds character to the SUV. At rear, elongated tail lamps enhance the look of the car and the main attraction of this SUV is the sunroof. The car is further made robust with the addition of the 17 inch ten spoke alloy wheels. This makes this SUV to have a good grip even on difficult mountains terrains.
The car has a seating capacity of five person, even if the car is tough from outside, special care has been kept to provide comfort to the passengers inside. All the things which define luxury have been added to the car. The interior is designed in soft toned ivory and black combination leather upholstery. There are ample legroom for the front as well as the rear passengers and sufficient headroom too. The boot space of the car is spacious enough to carry a lot of luggage together. The addition of the wooden panel inside not only gives the car a classy touch but also reminds one that the car is a strong one from outside as well as outside.
Technologically this car has everything, safety features and all the technological aspects. It is equipped with I-VTEC 2.0 litre engine which is mated with six speed manual transmission and other 2.4 litre engine which is mated with 5 speed automatic transmission along with 6 speed manual transmission. The former churns out a maximum power of 143 Ps while the latter gives a power of 161 Ps.
The Honda CR-V is considered as the toughest and most compact SUV in the market, and it is hence proved also. Not only by looks but also it is blessed with powerful, dynamic and robust engine option. Thus one can call the CR-V a ‘complete tough package’.
