Honda CR-V versus Mahindra XUV500

Honda CR-V and Mahindra XUV 500 come with fully charged SUV’s and can perform well in during the On-Road and Off-Road. These two giants are powerful, efficient, and very strong. Let us walk to the mammoths and take a closer look.

 Honda-CR-V

Honda CR-V is stylish and sporty looking SUV, it has a big formal looking grille and with a Honda badge at the middle. The sharp looking headlamp has 4 halogen Bulbs inside it to give it a sharper look and also better visibility at dark. There is Fog lamps mounted on the bumper of the SUV to help the driver to get a better visibility in bad weather conditions. The side of the car looks muscular because of the side skirts that run all the way to the rear of the SUV. The rear of the SUV also looks bold and stylish the tail lamps are tall and looks beautiful, it also offers a sunroof in the car. The side view mirrors are body colored and looks beautiful it is also automatically adjustable.

XUV 500 looks muscular and has the shape of a cheetah. The bold honeycomb grille looks aggressive at the front. It also has bold shaped headlamps that look like a cheetah’s eye with integrated side indicators and day time running lamps. The side of the XUV 500 looks muscular with bold line starting from the front fender and runs all the way across to the rear lamps. The rear of the SUV looks simple it has tail lamps have a unique three vertical compartments separated by molded reflectors. There is no sunroof in the car it only has roof rails running all the way to the rear.

Honda CR-V interiors are very classy and attractive too. The seats are covered with good quality leather and are very comfortable for long drives. It also has arm rests for the comfort of the passengers. It has everything from bottle holder to sunglass holder and even vanity mirror; there is sufficient leg as well as head room in the SUV. The steering is tilt adjustable and also has audio mounted controls in it. The sound system with AUX and USB port offers a descent sound quality. The wooden panels also add to the classy touch of the cabin inside. There are total of 6 passenger air bags inside the car to provide maximum safety for the passengers.

XUV 500 interiors are comfortable too with enough space inside the car. The 2 seats in the last row are foldable to provide enough boot space at the back. The XUV 500 also has audio mounted controls at the steering wheel. The interiors are two toned fabric shaded with fabric/leather upholstery. CR-V offer 2 variants of engine one is a 2.0 litre and another is a 2.4 litre of petrol engine. The 2.0 litre of i-VTEC petrol engine generates143 BHP of peak power and 190 Nm of torque. The 2.4 litre of –VTEC of petrol engine generates 161 BHP of peak power and 218 Nm of Torque.

XUV500 is powered by a 2179cc MHawk diesel engine which generates 140 bhp of peak power and 330 Nm of torque. The 2.2L engine is able to produce 140 Bhp and 330 Nm of torque. Both these SUV are powerful and capable enough for any kind of terrain but the Honda CR-V is much more technologically advanced than the Mahindra XUV 500 after all the Japanese manufacturers are known for their technology only.
