Honda Cars India is all set to launch a slew of new cars in the country after achieving an astounding success of its first diesel offering in India, the Amaze compact sedan. One of these cars will be the company’s patent brand City. One of the most popular sedans from the house of Honda is definitely the City, which is also one among the car maker’s bread and butter brands in the globe. The Japanese car major has finally decided to bring in the latest generation model of the City sedan to India. Honda had earlier confirmed that it is about to launch the latest City to the Indian car market.

Now, it is reported that the all new Honda City will be hitting the Indian car market in the month of November. The upcoming City would be its fourth generation and will be a bigger and better sedan than the ongoing model.

The all new sedan will obviously come along with a fresh crisp design and would be bigger than the current model and will be flaunting a more stunning styling along with updated new world-class features in order to fight for its lost top position in the segment that had been taken over by the current leader Hyundai Verna.

Along with all the enhanced design and features, the all new City will also be introduced to India with a diesel engine option. After the tremendous success with the Amaze diesel in the compact sedan segment, Honda is targeting to witness something similar in the Indian mid-size sedan segment as well by bringing in the all new City’s diesel variant.

Ever since the month of April this year, when Honda launched its star seller Amaze, the company has been experiencing an astral growth. The launch of the new-generation City along with its diesel variant in order to gain maximum market shares in India. The all new Honda City will be offered in about six to eight model trims of the 1.5 petrol and diesel engine options. The new City will also be offered with an automatic transmission gearbox option.

The all new City is developed on the platform of the Jazz hatchback, and will feature a sleek and smooth visual appeal to entice the C-segment consumers even better. The sedan will flaunt larger and more stylized clear lens headlight casings along with projector lights, while its rear will provide absolutely new appeal with a set of new integrated bright LED tail lights complementing the tailgate design.

The City sedan has been very popular and one of the greatest models from Honda in the Indian market. The City had also been the segment leader for over a decade before it was overthrown by the Verna.

Honda wishes to bring back the lost glory of the City in India with the all new model, which is much more premium, stylish and larger in size as well. The new City is also supposed to mark the difference of class between the compact sedan Amaze and the more up-market City.
