2014 Honda Civic Si Sedan Launched

The latest version of Honda Civic Si has been launched which has received changes to its front façade and interiors as well to improve its performance and overall experience of driving this car. Being a performance driven trim of Civic with versatility of both a coupe and sedan the Si trim remains most chosen variant when it comes to cost value. The 2014 Honda Civic Si version continues with traditional touches of leather trims on door inserts and seat handles along with latest technology of smart entry system and keyless ignition. Its infotainment system has AM/FM along with CD changer and is also compatible to Bluetooth integration through smartphone and other gadgets for enabling streaming music.

Honda has retained Civic’s old powerful petrol engine of 2.4 liter DOHC 4 cylinder mechanism which has been enhanced with i-VTEC system to provide excellent acceleration capacity of 60 miles within 6.1 seconds. This powerful engine of Honda Civic Si when mated with 6 speed manual transmission system has output capacity of 202 bhp followed by torque of 235 Nm. The new Honda Civic Si is an economical car that gives 10 kmpl within city and 13 kmpl on highway. Its interiors have also been fitted with 7 inch touchscreen which presents map details during navigation and also gives details of objects around the car through parking sensors. By providing all these features of comfort and safety to driver and passengers Honda attempts to retain for generations as the Civic Si is a very sturdy car.

While the chrome outline on lower section of its honeycomb radiator grill increases elegance of front façade, its rectangular shaped headlights ensconced under the hood with projector lights and side indicator made the Honda Civic Si an ideal head-turner. Available in a variety of metallic colors the car has elegant alloy tyres with diamond cut steel covers within smooth and unlined body. An essential part of its front façade is the air dam section at lower section of body bumper section which has a black outline with small fog lights and chrome lines extending towards each other. The backward sweeping front windshield is protected by both rain sensing wiper and defogger while rear side has only defogger while body colored ORVM’s and doors complement each other.

Rear side is attractive with black skid guards and LED DRL on stop lights section along with jaunty looking rear spoiler on boot cover. Honda has empowered this model with ABS and EBD and G-FORCE technology to shield passenger from impact of collision. Besides these the car also has cruise control, airbags, engine immobilizer and seat belts. Its cockpit like cabin has a futuristic appearance with well laid out instrument panel and curved dashboard. While its grey dashboard has controls silver lined A/C vents along with similar outline on steering wheel, gear, and clutch shaft, seats have red contrast stitching with seats in grey and red color. Audio system is also managed by steering mounted controls to sync phone calls and also attach external devices like CD players or AUX. Since the car is linked to HondaLink via SIRI which also enables several applications to manage emergencies.
