The competition levels in Indian auto industry has peaked up, there were so many new launches in 2014. To showcase the futuristic power of auto firms, an event called Auto Expo is held during the beginning of every year. The latest event is the 12th edition; the crowd went crazy over the launches. It does come as a shocker when the industry is going through a rough patch, clearly visible in the past two years. The auto segment had to bear with the burden of undesirable events such as depreciation of Indian rupee, spike in oil prices and unbearably high levels of inflation.
The auto market has shown signs of revival evident in 2014 May when some firms made gains. The growth is seen across a range from Audi, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki. Car enthusiasts have surely enjoyed the first half of the year to the core; there are new products from luxury brands to basic comforting ones. Few of the interesting launches are BMW X5, Audi RS7, Mercedes-Benz S Class, new Fiat Linea and Tata Zest.

It has changed the face of C segment, who would not want to grab hold of the car launched at an initial price of Rs 7.42 INR for base petrol. The diesel version is on sale as well, it is a top scorer in C segment, and the demand is just too vast to be true. Within the first five months Honda sold more than 38,000 units of City with 7,633 buyers every month. The waiting period is four to eight weeks.
Honda has been making impressive profits since 2013 April post the launch of Amaze. It took a risk and stacked the first diesel engine into the car; the end result is outpouring sales. The diesel and petrol engines are iDTEC and iVTEC types engineered with the advanced Earth Dreams technology. The same engine formula is used in City; the diesel car offers class lending mileage of 26kmpl and petrol vehicles moves at 18kmpl.
Honda has structured its launches effectively it has achieved great numbers with just a couple of vehicles. The firm plans to continue the momentum with launch of Mobilio MPV and new Vezel, both have iDTEC and IVTEC engine technologies. Mobilio and new Vezel are additions to the grand packages; both are sold at consumer centric rates. During the current difficult sale times, Honda has worked on practical details such as mileage and interior room that has yielded lifetime fortunes.
