Honda brio is a brilliant package and its engine performs well from the exterior no one can distinguish it that weather it’s a manual or automatic car. Its can only be understood once a person steps inside the car, Honda has a 5speed automatic gearbox with a torque converter. The gearbox used in the Brio is similar to the gearbox used in the Honda City. Now coming to the torque convertor it is usually a hydrodynamic fluid coupling mainly used to transfer rotating power from the car’s engine to the wheels the main purpose of it is to replace the mechanical clutch of the vehicle with an automatic transmission. The gear ratios are well suited to the Brio.

Honda brio uses both close and wide ratios to get both performance and fuel economy for the car. The gearbox has 7 positions they are P, R, N and D, beside that the Brio gets an additional 3 gear positions they are D3, 2 and 1. The D mode helps the driver to shift from 1st gear to 5th gear without any hustle and as soon as he steps on the accelerator the car slowly picks up speed, the automatic gearbox works perfectly thus giving brio a smoother drive even in heavy city traffic and as a result one gets a comfortable and effortless driving experience. While overtaking or in case of quicker acceleration just push the gear lever to the D3 mode and once you step on the gas pedal the car takes some time to pick up from lower speeds to higher speeds thus the first three gears are for quicker acceleration. The last two gears are helpful especially while descending from a steep slope it helps in better braking and better tractions. Brio is capable of hitting 90 km/h in the 2nd gear and 45 km/h in the first gear. Another most important feature of the car is that it has a gear indicator to show which gear you are in and it also has a economy lamp to show that weather the person is driving economically or not.

Brio automatic will surely prove itself worthy of taking on any form of traffic with ease and make the ride comfortable for both the driver and passenger sitting inside it.
