The new version of Honda Civic, the premium sedan has been launched by Honda Car Siel India (HCSI) after going through some cosmetic changes. Now the newer version is more stylish and enhanced. However, Toyota Corolla Altis is believed to be the most successful car models made by the Japanese car makers Toyota Motors. The car looks luxurious and executive. These two cars have been compared as both of them share the same category.
Exterior:
Honda Civic
Honda Civic has been introduced with two accessories packages namely Inspire and Elegance. The elegance is packed with rear door sunshade, illuminated side step garnish and door visor. On the other hand, Inspire is packed with front under spoiler, trunk spoiler, and rear under spoiler and side under spoiler. In the front, Honda Civic looks aggressive sporty. It consists of smoky headlamps, its front grille is metallic, and the front bumper is aerodynamic and is of the body colour and integrated with turn indicators. Door handle is also body coloured. The rear portion of the car is very attractive as it has Octocombi tail lights and dual exhaust.
Corolla Altis
The front headlamps of this car have eye - shaped angular headlamps, sleek grille and front fog lamps. The eye shaped headlamps are clustered with the HID headlamps which have retractable washers and turn indicators. The front, side and rear skirts have been given to add a sporty look to it. The rear view mirrors outside are electronically powered and are retractable along with turn indicators. The handles are body coloured in some variants and chrome finished in others. Corolla has 7 spoke alloy wheels. The rear bumper is body coloured.
Interior:
Honda Civic
The font cabin of Honda Civic resembles the cockpit of a plane due to its instrument panel. The panel consists of blue lit digital speedometer, tachometer and fuel economy indicator. The dashboard has audio system and AC placed centrally. It has fabric seats in some variant and leather seats in another one. The interior has colour combination of beige and black. The interiors are hugely illuminated and the seats are too comfortable with generous amount of space inside.
Corolla Altis
The interior have been given a classic and ultra modern look. There is multi information display switch and cruise control. The interior is overall given a blend of wooden finishing beautiful flooring and the seats are covered with leather as well. The Dashboard also has a stylish look with wooden finish audio system embedded in it and AC vents are rectangular in shape placed in both end of the dashboard.
Power:
Honda Civic
The new sedan is powered with an engine of 1.8L, i-VTEC, 1799cc, 4 Cylinder, SOHC that churns 132 Ps of max power at 6300 rpm and a maximum torque of 17.5 Kgm at 4300 rpm.
Corolla Altis
Corolla comes with 1798cc, 4-cylinder and 16 valves, DOHC, VVT-i petrol engine which produces a max power of 140Ps at 6400rpm and 173Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm.
Both Honda Civic and Corolla Altis are powerful and elegant machines and perform extremely well on the roads and highways.
